Dr. Benedict is an accomplished biologist, whose academic areas of expertise include environmental science, conservation genetics and molecular biology. Much of his original research focused on the development and use of novel molecular tools to address taxonomic and population level uncertainties which were fundamental to developing sound wildlife conservation and management strategies. Many of these necessitated the development of complex research collaborations among multiple federal, state, non-governmental agencies and organizations, as well as within the private sector.

Dr. Benedict has an extensive background in education ranging from the University to Elementary school levels. At the University level he both lectured in courses and taught labs on a wide variety of topics. He also spent a number of years traveling to inner city schools to teach children about wildlife, with a particular emphasis on urban wildlife. This broad background in education is complemented by his many years of experience in research, marketing, management and the implementation and oversight of customer service departments.

A native of Colorado, Dr. Benedict has been involved in a variety of ventures throughout the state. Though many of these were in the private sector, much of his time has been devoted to numerous non-profit organizations in a variety of capacities.

Ann Marie Bottcher, PhD

Dr. Bottcher received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A unique undergraduate background in textile engineering provided the basis for her interest in biomaterials, and the biomedical field as a whole. She has experience in medical textile production and development, and her research interests include cellular mechanics, tissue engineering, and biomaterials. Ann Marie has presented at a number of national and international conferences, and is the co-author of several patents, peer-reviewed journal articles, and book chapters.

Charity Allen, MBA

Operations Manager

Charity Allen earned a Masters of Business Administration from Colorado State University. While there, she graduated in the top 10% of her class and was inducted into the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma honors society. Her business background, combined with her honors undergraduate degree in Human Biology from Western State College of Colorado, provide Charity a well-rounded basis for managing the operations of eScience Labs. In her free time, Charity enjoys spending time outside running, fishing and hiking with her husband and her black lab Harley.

Molly Algya

Molly Algya earned her Associates of Science at CCD and will continue on to receive a Bachelors of Science in Biology at CU. Molly's experience with a variety of educational products provides her the knowledge to effectively orchestrate the purchasing demands of eScience Labs. As the Purchasing Manager, Molly plays a pivotal role in production process at eScience Labs, LLC. In her free time, Molly enjoys spending time in the beautiful outdoors of Colorado with her newborn son.

Dan Ferguson

Dan joined eScience Labs in February of 2010. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. Dan has over 15 years of accounting experience and is currently pursuing his CPA certification. Dan, a native of Iowa, is an avid sports fan and likes to play golf when time permits. Having spent time in the restaurant industry he has a passion for food and wine although he still doesn’t know how to cook.

Rachel Algya

Rachel Algya earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration (cum laude) with a minor in Leadership from Colorado Christian University. Throughout college Rachel was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, a national honor society. She also served three years as a leader within the Student Government Association, and was elected Student Body Vice President and Student Body President. Rachel received the coveted ‘Excellence in Leadership’ award for her service to the student body her senior year. Rachel possesses a strong background in networking and relationship development and has assisted with the recruitment and training of over 100 student leaders. She has also assisted in the planning and execution of corporate and community events around the Denver area. Rachel devotes her spare time to mentoring high school girls and serving in her local church.

Jan Benedict

Jan Benedict earned her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She interned while at UNC in Memphis TN, at St. Jude Children's Hospital. She was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority. As native of North Carolina, she is a natural southern people person. Her passion has always been working with people, whether it was educating patients in dental health, managing a restaurant, or teaching youth at her church and working with local recreational departments. After working in the dental industry for many years, eScience Labs has been a great opportunity. As sales manager from the beginning the people skills paid off. Learning the education industry in K-12 and higher ed is a new and exciting challenge as there are so many needs to meet. As the Business Development Manager, Jan has had the opportunity to build relationships at many levels, with students , deans, instructors and technology developers in hopes of bringing educational solutions to all groups. Work is a full time job which is balanced with 3 children and their active schedules as well as spending time serving my church and community and enjoying what Colorado has to offer, over 300 days of sunshine.

Kris Skaff

Kris Skaff is working in the capacity of Account Manager for eScience Labs with over 12 years of direct education experience. Kris earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of South Dakota and earned a degree in Education from Arizona State University. Prior to working in the education field, Kris was Director of Communications for the Arizona Golf Association. Utilizing her passion for education coupled with her business background, Kris enjoys providing value-solutions with eScience Labs’ hands‐on supplements to educational institutions world‐wide and in turn creating a positive learning environment for students. Kris enjoys volunteering for various philanthropic efforts and organizations focusing on supporting children with life threatening ailments. Kris resides in Colorado with her husband and three children.

Tosha Clay

Tosha Clay earned her Bachelors of Arts degree double majoring in Sociology and Psychology from Western State College of Colorado. While there she was a member of Psi Chi national honor society, vice president of the psychology club and captain of the cheerleading team. Since graduating college Tosha has worked as a youth counselor and a vocational counselor. She has also volunteered as a court appointed special advocate for children. She is excited to join the eScience team and provide quality educational support to students. She devotes her spare time as a varsity cheerleading coach at a local high school and enjoys spending time outdoors in beautiful Colorado.

Troy graduated from Colorado Christian University with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing. While attending CCU, Troy played Division II basketball. His hobbies include drawing, hiking, and running and he is interested in cars and technology. Troy is currently striving to earn his series 7 sailing certificate and learn french.

Dr. Chris Chambers

Dr. Chambers received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics from Loyola University Chicago and completed a Drug Discovery post-doctoral fellowship at Northwestern University. As both a graduate student and post-doctoral fellow, Dr. Chambers organized and participated in scientific literacy programs at local elementary schools and has taught at high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels. Dr. Chambers research interests include neurodevelopment, neurodegeneration, adult derived stem cells, and the molecular regulation of hemoglobin expression.

Kristen Kilpatrick

Kristen earned a Masters in Chemistry from Duke University and conducted post-graduate studies on molecular mechanisms of melanoma at Marshall University School of Medicine. Her other research interests include incorporation kinetics of boranophosphate-substituted nucleotides using DNA polymerase. She worked as a chemist at an industrial plant for 6 years before pursuing a career in teaching. Kristen has been teaching chemistry for the North Carolina Community Colleges for 9 years. She also develops chemistry courses to be used by other instructors in the online community. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. They love to go to the beach, spend the day on the boat, reading, and enjoying the sunny days on the coast of North Carolina.
