Ethical, Legal and Social Implications (ELSI)

Genetic screening and engineering is now commonplace, it is no longer science fiction. It can be extremely valuable in identifying diseases, developing new drugs and increasing plant yields. However, just because we have the technology, does not always mean we should use it. A Pandoras box of questions arise. Many of these are being debated today and this video provides a valuable perspective of the types of questions each of us will be faced with in the 21st Century.
